Alice Faye Duncan, fellow-teacher and the author of a number of books including Honey Baby Sugar Child, Miss Viola and Uncle Ed Lee, The National Civil Rights Museum Celebrates Everyday People, Christmas Soup, and Willie Jerome, has sent me several encouraging notes over the past few days. Turns out that’s exactly what I needed to push me in the direction of my next few writing projects. Yesterday I submitted four articles to the Chicken Soup market and worked on the outline for another young adult novel. I still need to market Half-Penny Sparrows more effectively, so I’d say I definitely have my work cut out for me.
